Crisis of the now

Mar. 11th, 2009 | 10:58 pm

What is the correct way to cite something that is being cited in another work?  Do I just cite the original source even though my only contact with it was through something else?  Or do I treat it as a normal citation and just cite the author who is doing the citing?

My situation:

I am using an academic article by authors Weinstein and Moegenburg.  Because it is an academic article they have to cite their sources like I do.  I want to use some information that they had to cite.  So, "Blah, blah blah blah ....... (Anderson 1988; Peters 1994)."

Do I cite Weinstein and Moegenburg?  Do I cite Anderson and Peters?  Do I cite all four and include both sources in my bibliography?

The various MLA websites don't cover this!

Friends Only

Mar. 13th, 2008 | 05:48 pm

This journal is locked and available to friends only. This is mainly to keep employers, coworkers, and terrorists from reading about my life. If you are someone who would like read access, please leave a message and I'll be sure to add you as a friend.

My previous journal was: [info]anubisblue.

Open-minded and non-judgemental friends only!

(I am only joking about the terrorists. They can have read access too if they leave a comment requesting me to add them as a friend.)
